Plenipotentiary Conference-PP-14, which is the highest level and most authorized conference of International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and is held once in four years, was conducted in Busan, Republic of Korea.

On behalf of Turkey, under the presidency of ICTA Council Chairman Dr Tayfun Acarer, Council Members Galip Zerey, Dr İhsan Kulalı, Dr Ömer Fatih Sayan and International Relations Department Head Dr Ahment Erdinç Çavuşoğlu participated in the event. At the event, Secretary General, Vice Secretary General, Radiocommunication, Telecommunication Development and Standardization Bureaus’ Directors and ITU Council Members and Radio Regulations Council Members were elected.

Turkey became the third country receiving the highest vote in Council elections, including 168 countries in the Plenipotentiary Conference and was elected for the Council again.
