Türksat starts to give internet service with Türsat Net brand on Türksat 4B, the first communication satellite of Turkey on 50 degrees and sent to the space last year. Accordingly, it will be able to provide economic internet access at great speed with Türksat Net in places such as mine, building site and under field situations without terretial infrastructure.

 

Türksat Net Introduction Meeting was held with Ministry of Transportation, Communication and Maritime Affairs and senior executors fromTürksat Inc.  As well as deparment heads from related public instututions.

 

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation, Communication and Maritime Affairs Özkan Poyraz said producing 6A communication satellite with local sources is one of the most significant aims of the Ministry and added: “Our friends have made required technic studies. They are about to make compenet design and many setallite behaviour simulations have been completed in TAI facilities. A very significant satellite testing center was created before with supports of our minisrty. Succesful results will be held in these satellite testing centers.”

 

By explaning that Türksat is a company with a spectrum including both satellite, communication and fiber as contractor, Poyraz satated they think of blasting off 6A satellite in 2019.

Türksat General Director Cenk Şen has indicated that Türksat 5A and Türksat 5B satellite investments are attending and technic agreement is on the phase of evaluation. Expalaing that Türksat 5A satelliye will be blasted off in 2016 Türksat 5B in, Şen said: “Turkey has not had a satellite on 31st degree until today. We were trying to keep our rights by hiring rather. With blasting off Türksat 5A, we will administer our rights within our own envantery.”
